How to operate your snow machine
Important Note: During operation, the snow machine must have fluid available and pumping through the tube at all times. Running the machine "dry" will destroy the pump instantly!
The snow machine will give a realistic look of falling snow. It works best in temperatures ranging from 45 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The snow machine generates tiny bits of foam that resembles falling snow (like the type that are found in a bubble bath). The snow will not accumulate, but will dissipate shortly after hitting the ground. The falling snow will leave a wet spot if used in the same area for more than a few minutes. A fan may be used behind or below the machine to create a large snowfall area and less of a wet spot. The machine works well inside or outside, however, if used outside, care should be taken to plug it into a ground fault protected circuit. It should not be allowed to be rained on or left overnight where it will collect dew.
If you are looking for a realistic looking snow that accumulates on the ground or on props, check out our artificial snow at: www.starlight.com/artsnow.html
Before plugging your unit in, fill the fluid container with Snow Fluid from Star Light and Magic. The fluid container should hold about a gallon and half.
CAUTION: RUNNING SNOW MACHINE WITHOUT FLUID WILL IMMEDIATELY DESTROY THE PUMP.
Make Sure that the tube is stuck down into the fluid reservoir so that the end of the tube is at the bottom of the fluid container. If it is near the top, the machine will not get fluid and the pump will be damaged.

Plug one end of the power cord into the snow machine, and the other end into a standard wall outlet. The Snow machine pulls 9 amps, so a you cannot put more than two on a circuit without tripping a breaker.
Plug remote control into plug on rear of unit. Location of plug may be slightly different, but only one plug will fit. The snow machine will not work without the remote.
Turn the power on at the rear of the snow machine.
Important: Adjust the output to the highest level (clockwise) and then turn it back after it starts snowing to adjust the amount of snow output.
Turn the machine on with the "On/Off" switch on the remote.
Adjusting the "Air Volume" switch on the rear of the unit will give you the ability to shoot it out at minimum strength (about 10 feet) or maximum strength (about 20 feet).
Clean your snow machine regularly by running about
1/2 cup of warm water through the machine. This can be done by
dropping the tube into a cup of warm water and turning the machine
on as if making snow. This should be done before storing the
snow machine for any length of time. This will prevent the snow
fluid from becoming solid in the line or pump and stopping up
the machine.
