Thank you for renting our fabulous... Foam Machine
Here are some pointers to help you along the way:
1. If unit arrives damaged, you must notify us and UPS immediately.
2. This unit uses about 6 gallons of fluid per hour when operated continuously, so put it in a place where it can be accessed every 10 to 15 minutes to refill it. If mounted up high, keep a ladder available. To operate, simply fill the fluid reservoir and turn on, thick foam will immediately be generated. Results may vary between multiple machines, this is normal.
3. Make sure that tube coming out of the top of the fluid tank is pushed down far enough so that it reaches the bottom of the tank, otherwise it will not reach the fluid and foam will not be generated.
4. Place in a safe location, preferably on top of a sturdy object so that the unit will not get damaged by enthusiastic party-goers. For maximum effectiveness, it should be placed at least 3 feet off the ground.
Return:
1. Save ALL packing material for return shipment.
2. Before returning, make sure that the fluid reservoir is completely empty!
3. Insure your return shipment for $500, in case the shipper damages it.
4. To avoid extra charges, return on business day immediately following event (for a weekend event, you would return it on Monday). To return, take it to your nearest UPS or FEDEX office and ship it back via standard ground. Do not ship via post office, or late fees may be incurred. Next day shipping is not necessary if returned on time.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem: Machine will not operate.
Answer: Make sure that cord is fitted firmly into the rear of the unit and that main power switch is turned to the 'On' position. When operating several foam machines at once, make sure that there are no more than 2 to a particular circuit, or you might end up tripping a breaker or blowing a fuse. Check the wall plug to make sure that electricity is present.
Problem: No foam is coming out.
Answer: Machine is probably low on fluid. Remember that this machine uses lots of foam fluid, and will need to be 'topped off' every ten minutes or so. If the fluid gets low in the container, the machine may have trouble sucking it through the hose. NOTE: Check to make sure that the plastic tube leading from the fluid reservoir is free of kinks and is pushed to the bottom of the plastic fluid jug.
Problem: Foam piles up in one area.
Answer: You may have to move the foam machine from one location to another, or use multiple machines to achieve a wider, more even spread.
Problem: Little foam output / Machine makes "rattling" noise
Answer: Machine is not drawing fluid. Make sure hose is submersed in fluid and that fluid container has enough fluid. As levels get low, machine may run dry. NOTE: If machine will not draw fluid, even when end of tube is submersed, then feeder tube may be "jammed". To remedy this, place end of tube in a large cup of hot water and allow machine to run for a minute. This will clear up any blockage.
Use only foam fluid supplied by Star Light and Magic, other fluids will not work effectively. Do not water down fluid or try to manufacture your own - this will cause a big foamy mess and may damage the machine. Make sure foam does not get onto machine.
