Pyro Controllers

A fail-safe firing controller with a safe three point firing system. The 8 way controller has eight seperate channels which can be fired together or seperately. You can plug 8 cables into the back of the unit, and run them to your pyro "pods" or cables where you will plug in your pyrotechnic cartridge effects, such as flash, stars, etc. You can plug several effects into one channel, with a maximum of 10 effects per channel, giving you a total of 80 possible shots. The channels have assigned lighting so the operator can clearly see the zone that is about to be fired. Includes a key switch for safety, so that effects can not be accidentily mis-fired.

The 8/16 controller is similar to the 2/4 Way in design and operation. It has 2 zones and 8 channels. It also has a digital display to show the operator the operating zone. The 8/16 also incorporates the safe three point firing system. The Chase fire allows the designer to incorporate chase effects like airbursts, gerbs or bullet hits fired in a pre-planned sequence. Step Fire is similar to Chase Fire except when the fire button is pressed only one effect will fire and advance to the next cue. When the fire button is released and repressed it will then fire the next effect. The rear XLR panel can be removed and replaced with a multi-pin connector, allowing for greater flexibility when designing a control application.

The Surefire Wireless Transmitter is the first in the industry that supports the highest level of safety with the greatest flexibility. It supports 16 discrete channels of firing capability. For multiple effects at the same time, simply set multiple receivers to the same channel, providing even more firing capability. Each user is assigned a PIN number that is only assigned to them and no one else. This number prevents any cross firing from other close proximity controllers. The controller is also equipped with a group setting allowing any user to expand their controller inventory to 256 channels on the same PIN number. The group assignment is also very useful for multiple controllers being used in close proximity but are being used on different shows utilizing the same PIN numbers or controller inventory. The Surefire range of controllers were designed to allow the user to interface the controllers with one another allowing the use of one fire button. Multiple unit may be used together to achieve even more channels of firing power. Will fire units up to 400 feet away (optional antenna available for 3000 ft. firing distance, inquire within). High level code encryption prevents mis-firing from stray radio signals or other units. Rack mountable.

The Surefire Single channel receiver is capable of firing 4 devices in parallel. The receiver can operate from up to 400 feet away from the Transmitter. Further distances can be achieved by upgrading the transmitter antenna. The receiver has two 9 volt batteries in the battery compartment to allow the receiver to deliver as much power as possible to the match. The receiver has it's own discrete, encrypted PIN number that is matched to the Transmitter and cannot be fired by any other transmitter or radio signal.
